May 2, 2021 / New Husqvarna MZ54. #1. Finally was able to get the new Zero Turn MZ54 delivered on Thursday and started mowing with it on Saturday morning. Mowed for about 2 hours and then the blades stopped. Upon inspection, I see that the spring on the idler for the deck belt is broke. Not a good look for a brand new mower.
Smoke may have been the pulleys locking up from a bad bearing or a clump of grass getting caught when the mower was off it became dislodged from the topside of the underneath of the cutting deck. Grease those fittings with a grease gun until clean grease comes out of the spindles from the blade side or the pulley side.
